Downtown Denver, the 10th largest city in the country, is bustling with activity. Three new sports stadiums were recently built in Downtown Denver as well. Denver has the nation's largest city park system, 750 miles of paved bike trails and nearly 100 golf courses.
Frequently throughout the winter months, snow becomes quite deep in the mountains while Denver enjoys sunshine days and mild weather.Our wonderful mountains cause the majority of the moisture to fall west of Denver. Denver´s visibility is spectacular with being in a semi-arid climate with only 15.3 inches of rain per year.This means we don´t have the bugs and humidity that other parts of the nation must endure.
Denver Real Estate & Housing History
Denver Squares became abundant on both sides of the Cherry Creek River following the 1863 fire that destroyed the nearly all of the wooden structures in the downtown Denver business district. The devastation resulted in a city ordinance requiring brick construction for all future buildings. Since then, building codes have changed considerably to allow numerous building styles and exteriors within the City and County of Denver.
Did you know that in 2006 Men's Health magazine ranked Denver's water as best in the entire country based on halo-acitic acids and total trihalomethanes, total coliform bacteria and a number of EPA water-system viloations for the past ten years.

Metropolitan Denver doubled in population from Between 1960 and 2000. The actual growth rate was 2.4%. In 2000, the metro area had a population of 2.1 million. The average age of our population is 34.4 years old. Denver now has the tenth largest downtown in the United States.
