Littleton, Colorado:
The original City of Littleton was established in 1890 along the South Platte River near Main Street and Santa Fe Blvd. The population is approximately 40,600.

Schools:
The local school districts, Littleton Public Schools and Cherry Creek School District, offer some of the best public education in the Denver Metro Area. Cherry Creek School District, viewed by some as the best public education in the state, has a long and stable history of serving its residents with top-notch K-12 educational services. The Cherry Creek High School system continues to prove its great educational services by boasting some of the highest test scores in the state every year and by sending 93% of its graduates to college. Student ACT and SAT  scores  within both school systems rank well above the Colorado or National averages.
 
In 2004, Greenwood Elementary School was ranked by the School Accountability Report "cut" scores as the 2nd best in the State. Challenge Middle School ranked second and Cherry Creek High School was ranked forth in the State by the same report. Littleton  Academy ranked 5th for elementary and middle school.

You will enjoy the new multi-generation $11 million, 54,000 square-foot Douglas H. Buck Community Recreation Center.  This center offers an aquatics area with therapy pool, lap lanes, a "lazy river" for resistance walking or tube floating and a leisure pool, a gymnasium with running and walking tracks, fitness area, basketball courts, babysitting room, multi purpose room. The facility is designed to serve seniors, mid-lifers, young people and children.
